Program overview

What this program prepares you to do

Build end-to-end web automation using modern frameworks, with the structure and judgment to keep suites green in production. From flaky scripts to a suite the team trusts.

Web Test Automation teaches you to turn repetitive manual checks into fast, reliable browser automation. The focus is not on recording clicks, it is on writing suites that survive redesigns, run in CI and give the team confidence to release.

You work with Playwright, Selenium and Cypress on real production-style codebases, and every submission is reviewed by the Automation Lead Mentor. The honest lesson runs through the whole programme: a stable, maintainable suite beats a large flaky one.

By the end you can build, run and defend a web automation suite that fits into a real delivery pipeline.

Who this is for

  • You test manually and want to automate the browser layer
  • You have basic coding confidence or are willing to learn it quickly
  • You want a portfolio piece that looks like real engineering work

Outcomes

  • Write maintainable UI automation in a modern framework
  • Design page objects, fixtures and clean test data setup
  • Handle dynamic elements, waits and authentication flows
  • Run tests in CI on every merge and diagnose failures fast
  • Judge automation ROI and choose tooling on evidence
Syllabus

Learn by building, module by module

01
Module 1

Programming and tooling foundations

The language, Git and project setup you need before writing stable tests.

  • •Language essentials for test code
  • •Version control, branching and pull requests
  • •Project setup, dependencies and test runners
  • •Reading and debugging an existing test

Project: A first automated test committed and reviewed on a pull request.

02
Module 2

Frameworks, selectors and resilient design

Playwright, Selenium and Cypress compared, then a structure that holds.

  • •Framework comparison and selection criteria
  • •Page object and app action patterns
  • •Locator strategy and resilience to redesign
  • •Configuration, environments and secrets handling

Project: A framework skeleton with a documented tooling decision.

03
Module 3

Writing tests that survive

Flakiness, waits, isolation and test data are the maintenance problem.

  • •Deterministic waits and eliminating flakiness
  • •Test independence and state management
  • •Test data creation and teardown
  • •Assertions, reporting and useful failure messages

Project: A stable suite that passes repeatedly under review, reruns included.

04
Module 4

Authentication, flows and cross-browser concerns

The real-world cases: logging in, multi-step journeys and different browsers.

  • •Handling authentication and session state
  • •Multi-page and multi-step user flows
  • •Cross-browser and mobile viewport testing
  • •Visual regression and accessibility smoke tests

Project: An end-to-end flow covering authentication and a critical user journey.

05
Module 5

CI, reporting and maintenance

Getting the browser suite into the pipeline and keeping it green.

  • •Pipeline configuration on GitHub Actions or GitLab CI
  • •Parallelisation, sharding and execution time
  • •Screenshots, videos and failure artefacts
  • •Quality gates and branch protection

Project: A UI suite running automatically on every merge, with reporting.

06
Final module

Project week and live defence

You stop consuming the curriculum and produce evidence of it. You automate a real web application end to end and justify every automation decision.

  • •Scoping the project brief with your mentor
  • •Working the project through a full cycle, with checkpoints
  • •Preparing the written artefacts a reviewer will read
  • •Presenting and defending your decisions live

Project: A defended web automation project, certificate and report card.

How admission works

From application to certification

  1. 01

Confirm this is the program you want to take.

  2. 02

Make payment: one time in full, or split into two installments.

  3. 03

We send you a mail confirmation with your admission letter.

  4. 04

Sign the letter and send it back to us.

  5. 05

You get added to the cohort rooms.

  6. 06

    Participate in the onboarding session.

  7. 07

Learn flexibly: self study during the week, submit your assignment by 12pm (WAT) every Friday, and attend the weekly live review class with your mentor.

  8. 08

Continue until module / project week, group or personal. You work actively on the project and defend it live before invited professional leaders.

  9. 09

At the end of the program, you receive your certificate and report card.

Option A, Pay in full

₦119,000

One single payment covering the whole program. Confirms your seat immediately and is the best value option.

Option B, Two installments

2 × ₦70,000

First installment is due before onboarding and secures your seat. The second installment is due before the mid-program module / project week; access to the next module pauses until it is settled.
